Our tongue has the power to release life into our day, by simply commanding our morning. We get to choose how we will use our words every single day. The words that come out of our mouths and off our tongues bear fruit. This Bible verse about commanding your morning is pretty straightforward. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,Īnd those who love it will eat its fruit.” (And yes, all that we are declaring must be in line with God’s will and truth for our lives.) If we desire for God’s light to shine upon our ways, we must first be in right standing with Him then, we can command our morning by declaring a thing and it will be established. Then once he has done those things and God restores Job, he will be able to “declare a thing and it will be established.” His friend, Eliphaz, tells Job what he must do to be fully restored starting in verse 21. In this full passage of scripture, we see where Job is being called out for some errors in his ways. Let’s look at other scriptures about the power of our words to command our morning. We, too, can command (give authoritative, spiritual, and biblical orders) over our morning and lives! In The Bible Jesus spoke to the winds and the sea and the storm calmed down (Luke 8:23-27)Īnd this is just to name but a few instances where Jesus spoke or commanded things to happen and they did.The Centurion Man asked Jesus to simply “speak a word” to heal his servant (Luke 8:5-13).Jesus spoke to the Leper saying “be cleansed” and he was cleansed (Luke 8:1-4).Let’s find out exactly what Jesus did, as it relates to commanding things (giving spiritual orders): So at a minimum, we can do all that Jesus did while walking this earth. Jesus is telling us that will we do what He has done…and even greater things! We are told in John 14:12 – “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” That’s a great question! So let’s go straight to the Word of God and see what it has to say about this: Let’s talk more about the spiritual authority granted to us to command our morning. We can, in fact, biblically command our morning with scripture to support us doing so. God literally commands the morning to put or set in order His lovingkindness to be on full display!Īs children of God, who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we have spiritual authority granted to us by the Lord to give authoritative, spiritual, and biblical orders about our lives and those around us. The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime,Īnd in the night His song shall be with me. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. It is used 494 times in the Old Testament. The word command means to give an authoritative order. Either way, they are using Bible verses to command their morning. Some people may call this their daily confessions, declarations, or affirmations. It’s actually speaking and prophesying over your day. It helps to set the tone for the day and activates God’s Word in your life.Ĭommanding your morning isn’t just about praying specific prayers. What Does It Mean To Command Your Morning?Ĭommanding your morning with scripture is a simple, yet very powerful spiritual technique that will allow you to walk in greater authority over your day. Let’s take some time to explain all of it, this way, you can walk powerfully and with great authority, as a Woman of God. It’s actually very similar to praying scripture, but there are some unique differences that make it worth us discussing here. Using scriptures to command your morning may be a new idea to you.
